  • What is the difference between a college and a university?

    In many countries, a college is of lower ranking than a university and offers only vocational courses. This is not the case in North America. Many of the finest private universities in the USA are called 'colleges'. Traditionally, only universities offered graduate studies. Today, this is no longer the case. Many colleges also offer graduate programs.
  • What are the different types of undergraduate degrees?

    Associate: a two-year program that either leads to a specific vocation or transitions to a bachelor program. Bachelor: a four or five-year program where students earn credits in a wide variety of courses.
  • What is a community college?

    Community colleges are typically state-supported and provide the first two years of a four-year undergraduate degree.
  • How much does it cost to study in the USA and Canada?

    Bachelor’s degrees usually cost between $10,000 - $37,000 per year. Master's degrees range from $23,520 to $79,317 for the entire program.   • There are so many schools in the U.S. How do I decide which schools to apply to?

    A: Research your options and define your priorities. Contact the EducationUSA advising center nearest you and browse college search engines online. Check to see if the schools your are considering are accredited. ANT will help you choose the university or school in the recommended list of US General Counsulate
  • Is it possible to obtain a bachelor's degree and a master's degree at the same time?

    In a joint-degree program, students begin a graduate program in their fourth year of college, earning both degrees upon graduation.
  • What is the main difference between Universities and Colleges in Canada?

    Universities get to deal independently with academic matters regarding the curricula, methods and teaching strategies. Universities have the power to set academic, admission, and graduation policies and standards, appoint staff, and undertake academic planning, meanwhile Private Universities are out-of-province institutions permitted to provide degrees after a meticulous quality assessment process by the designated governmental authorities which give the green light to certain degrees.
  • Do you need a student visa to study in Canada or US?

  • What is the academic calendar for universities in the United States?
