Introduction

California State University, Stanislaus (also known as Stanislaus State or simply Stan State and formerly known as CSU Stanislaus) is a campus in the 23-school California State University system which was established in 1957 in Turlock, California, United States. It is also the only campus in the CSU system to offer a bachelor`s degree in cognitive studies.
Stanislaus State has been rated in the top 10 public universities in the new West Coast Master`s category by U.S. News & World Report magazine as well as a best buy in higher education for the past seven years. Stanislaus is also one of the two campuses (other one being Sonoma State University) in the 23-campus CSU system listed among the best undergraduate colleges by The Princeton Review. A 2015 study commissioned by National Public Radio found that Stanislaus State was ranked 5th in the nation for upward mobility.

Scholarships

The Office of International Education at California State University, Stanislaus is offering $1000.00 scholarships to international students (Undergraduate or Graduate). Eligible applicants must be full-time degree seeking students who are attending California State University, Stanislaus as an International Student on an active F-1 visa and have completed at least one semester of study at Stanislaus State. The scholarships will be awarded based on academic merit and community service. The award will be applied as follows; 1 scholarship per year, dispersed over two semesters ($500.00 each Fall/Spring). Students may apply each academic year. The number of scholarships awarded will depend on available funding.
Please be noticed that you can apply for one of four CSU system-wide scholarships, including:
• The CSU Foundation Scholarships
• CSU International Programs Scholarships
• CSU Summer Arts Scholarships
• California Pre-Doctoral Program (Sally Casanova Scholars)
The scholarships require a GPA of at least 2.8 over 4.0. The rewards is minimum $1,000 per year.

The 228-acre campus is located in the City of Turlock, a community that prides itself on its smalltown atmosphere, clean living space, excellent schools and low crime rate. The campus itself is a beautiful, park-like setting, shaded by hundreds of trees and graced by ponds, trickling streams and waterfalls. The picturesque campus offers moments of peace and relaxation to busy students, faculty, staff and the community to actively participate in the learning-centered activities sponsored by the campus.
